Ruma Rahman
Ruma Rahman is an experienced pharmacist with over 20 years of expertise, graduating from UCL School of Pharmacy. She is a GP practice-based pharmacist, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Ruma holds postgraduate qualifications, including a Diploma in Pharmacy Practice and certification as an Independent Non- Medical Prescriber.
Her career spans 12 years in hospital pharmacy and subsequent work in primary care, where she has supported patients with learning difficulties and disabilities while engaging with parents and carers to optimise health outcomes. A mother of three, Ruma’s personal experience with the challenges faced by families of children with disabilities inspired her role as a Trustee for SENDAid. She is also a qualified coach, mentor, and Quality Improvement Coach, with a history of serving as a school governor and contributing to health improvement and charity initiatives
