Welcome to SEND AID

Empowering Lives, Breaking Barriers

Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) Aid is a non-profit charity organisation dedicated to supporting and enhancing the spiritual, physical and mental health and well being of individuals with SEND and their families.

We want to support and empower SEND families to make their unique journey in life, fulfilling and rewarding. We aim to minimise the stresses and burden of everyday life through providing support, friendship and help.

We support the UN’s Disability Inclusion Strategy and through our work aim to raise standards and performances on disability inclusion locally and internationally.

About Autism

Autism is a spectrum condition and affects people in different ways. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability. The landmark 2009 Autism Act has raised greater public awareness of hidden disabilities like autism. At SEND Aid we recognise the incredible work that has already been done in this field of work but also recognise that much more needs to be done to make local and international services

My Story

As parents to 7-year-old twins on the autism spectrum, we are constantly learning each day how to support our children in order to give them the best possible opportunities in life.

Our journey began when the twins were 18 months old and presented with significant speech delays and delayed childhood milestones.
